Queen of Arts Show in Solvang

I made these little cats for the Queen of Arts show over in Solvang. Syd McCutcheon started this show 10 years ago at her home and now it has grown and moved over to the Elverhoj Museum in Solvang. This is a 3 day event and we have one more day to go. It's a fun show with lots of locals supporting the artists and we get to visit with one another on and off during the day. Lots of new things to tempt everyone ....fiber arts, ceramics, paintings, jewelry, book arts, sculptures, and glittery ornaments and more!
Finished up the big Owl in time for the show.
Made some more hats..this one sold the first day.
Part of my space in the show...a bit jumbley....
Made some acorn necklaces....
and some felted wool scarves....
Carol Kemp's crow....
Cindy Knight's glittery paper mache angels and ornaments....
snowmen and pins, too.
Barbara Carr, my nuno felt co-teacher at Artfiberfest made the most beautiful felt scarves for the show...they were going fast! I was so happy that she could come and help teach the nuno class....we had lots of students and Barbara and I were hopping to keep the felters rolling. Most everyone made 2 incredibly beautiful scarves. Barbara taught most of us to felt here in Santa Barbara and we all appreciate her sharing her felting skills with us all. Thanks, Barbara for making the class such a success!

2 of Barbara's felt pillows....reversible...different on each side...
I just love Janet Stevenson's necklaces....I feel a trade coming on....
Colleen's colorful pincushions with her wonderful yo yo's...

These are just a few of the many delightful things at the show....now to go finish up a few new things to take tomorrow...

What an absolutely amazing feast for the eyes. I am in love with your art. The kitties - precious! The necklaces - adorable! and your booth at the festival - WOW! What a wonderful vision you have - uniquely your own.

Hi Mary,
LOVE all the delightful goodies you made for the show. I'm in awe of how much you accomplished in a short amount of time on the heels of traveling. Fun to see pics of everyones work. And Barbara's
pieces...wow! You two made a really fun teaching team at AFF.

Wish I could catch a magic carpet down to the show today. Hope it's a sell out! Hugs, Chris
